PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a rotor with large rigidity while restraining a load small at rotation. SOLUTION: A retreating part B which retreats from a stator part 10 and whose distance from the stator part 10 is larger than the downstream part, is formed on the upstream part in a storing direction of oil by herring bone grooves 25b, 25c on a plate part 23 on a fluid bearing having a rotor part 20 including a shaft 21 having the plate part 23 extended in the radial direction, the stator part 10 having a support hole 11a in which the shaft 21 is installed free to rotate, fluid interposed between the stator part 10 and the shaft 21 in the support hole 11a of the stator part 10 and the herringbone grooves 25b, 25c to generate dynamic pressure in the thrust direction by storing fluid as well as formed on the plate part 23.
