PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose whether a gas meter is normally integrating, by the meter itself by carrying out alarm processing in the case of an appropriate pressure deciding means judging the decrease (increase) of flow and deciding measured pressure to be lower (higher) than stored pressure. SOLUTION: A flow measuring part 21 provided at a meter inlet part 19 and a meter outlet part 20 measures the flow of passing gas. Gas pressure at the meter inlet part 19 when detecting gas flow is measured by a pressure measuring part 22 and stored in a memory 24. Thereafter, pressure is measured when detecting the increase or decrease of flow. The preceding pressure stored in the memory is updated with the measured pressure value, and the measured pressure value is compared with the stored pressure. It is supposed to be normal in the case of measured pressure >= stored pressure at the decrease of flow or measured pressure < stored pressure at the increase of flow, and abnormal in the case of measured pressure < stored pressure at the decrease of flow or measured pressure >= stored pressure at the increase of flow, and an alarm is generated when abnormal.
