PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor such that a multi-function sensor is optionally constructed and revision of a position and a function can easily be made, the precision and the function of the sensor can dynamically be changed as required, no much space is occupied and no wiring is needed. SOLUTION: The multi-image sensor is provided with a means that can set an optional number of areas A1-A4 of an optional shape being monitor objects to an optional position on a display device 1 displaying an image photographed by a video camera or an instrument or the like and with a sensor means that senses a change in an image signal in the area depending on the object of monitor as to each of the areas A1-A4 and provides an output as a sensing output. This multi-image sensor can also be provided with a means that identifies an optional three-dimensional space through the combinations of a plurality of video images, a means that varies the sensing precision by zooming of a video camera, and a means that relates results of sensing to a plurality of areas, combines them and records and notifies the result.
