摘要 PURPOSE:To constitute a solid laser device provided with a pair of straight-tube excitation light sources arranged on both sides of a pair of optical excitation faces of a slab laser medium while running in the longitudinal direction of the laser medium and in parallel with the optical excitation face and a tunnel focusing mirror reflecting light of the excitation light source toward the optical excitation face of the laser medium into a device heightening the excitation distribution uniformity in the width direction inside the laser medium without lowering excitation efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A straight-tube excitation light source 2 is arranged within a vertical plain to a light excitation face 1a halving the light excitation face 1a of a laser medium 1 in the width direction, while a focusing mirror is made into the focusing mirror, in which a reflection face 5a piles up two congruent ellipses while making one side focal points 6a, 6a accorded and having a shape near the focal points 6a of the innermost shape to be obtained while opening two major axes around the focal point 6a as the cross section shape while one side focal point 6a is located near one side excitation light source and two other side focal points 6b, 6b are located beyond near the other side excitation light source.
