METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING REDUCTION IN CAPACITY OF CDMA SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method and device for detecting reduction in capacity of CDMA system are provided to detect capacity reduction of a wireless communication system. CONSTITUTION: The method and device are realized by a computer to decide whether the wireless communication system is in operation with a reduced capacity. This method and the device use call processing information related to each sector/carrier in a CDMA base station to decide whether or not any sector/carrier is in operation with the reduced capacity and limited by power control (that is, even when the sector/carrier is in operation with the reduced capacity, the power control blocks a new user to access the sector/carrier). Then the method and device detects a blocking fault that gives effect on the capacity of the CDMA system.
