A record region of an optical disk 15 is composed of an overwrite record region 15A, divided into a plurality of zones in the radial direction, and a write-once record region 15B set to the side of the inner periphery of the overwrite record region 15A. Data is recorded in a CLV mode and reproduced in a CAV mode for the overwrite record region 15A. Data is recorded and reproduced in the CAV mode for the write-once record region 15B.
