PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize the structure of a discrimination system which can accurately discriminate an object person by taking the state of the best magnetic field into account. SOLUTION: This discrimination system is equipped with an interrogator equipped with a loop coil 1a which sends and receives signals and a transponder 3 equipped with a power converting circuit which converts the magnetic field produced with the mentioned signal into electric power, a storage circuit which is driven with the electric power supplied from the power converting circuit and stores discrimination information, and a transmitting receiving circuit and a coil 3b which receive the mentioned signal and transmit the discrimination information to the interrogator. In this case, the center axis of the loop coil 1a of the interrogator and the center axis of the coil 3b of the transponder 3 are almost in the same direction.
