The present invention relates to a plasmid for producing a DNA ladder which is capable of being used in production of the DNA ladder, a DNA ladder composition prepared using the plasmid for producing the DNA ladder, and a method for preparing the plasmid. Plasmids for producing a DNA ladder, i.e., pGDM001, pGDM002, and pGDM003 according to the present invention enable size of DNA to be easily measured by designing the plasmids for producing the DNA ladder in the form of a DNA ladder in which the modification in existing plasmids is caused to give regularity to a gap between bands, and by controlling the number of molecules in low molecular DNA and high molecular DNA, thereby preparing the plasmids such that the bands are formed to a uniform thickness. Further, plasmids for producing a DNA ladder, i.e., pGDM001, pGDM002, and pGDM003 according to the present invention are capable of reducing production costs by designing the plasmids for producing the DNA ladder such that restriction enzymes which are relatively cheap and have high activities, i.e., EcoRI and EcoRV can be used. |
