The invention concerns a vehicle control device comprising: an electromechanical transducer (22); an electronic control circuit (18); a human-computer interface (19, 20) connected to the electronic circuit (18) and comprising means (20) for controlling the distribution of energy supplied by the electric power source (17) to the transducer (22). The invention is characterised in that the interface (19, 20) further comprises control means (19) for selecting among a plurality of parameters defining the distribution control mode of the power supplied by said source (17) to the transducer (22), on the basis of data provided by the circuit (18). The invention is applicable to bicycles equipped with an auxiliary power supply.
