The wire fastener is made in one piece from sheet metal such as hot galvanised or stainless steel in a single cutting, stamping or pressing operation. It is of constant thickness and has at least one point (32b) with an anchoring barb (33a, 33b) for driving into a wooden post (P), one or more wire retaining recesses (35a, 35b), and a flat striking surface (34). A stop surface (39, 40) in the point side limits its penetration into the post. |
