PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a thermal transfer sheet for accurately reproducing an original content with fidelity even in the case of contracting or enlarging a character, a graphic form or the like at an arbitrary magnification. SOLUTION: A data input means S1 inputs a content of a character or a graphic form as dot matrix data by a scanner 23. A contour point row extracting means S2 extracts a contour point row from the data. Function approximating means S3, S4 approximate a curve constituted of the contour point row by using a fluency function. The function can be differentiated limited times and is a sampling function of a definite base having '1' at a sample position t=0, '0' at t=±1, t<=-2, t>=+2, and a value except '0' at t except them. A memory means S5 stores approximating result as character/graphic form data. A contour line reproducing means S6 reproduces a contour line based on the character and graphic form data. A cutting means S7 cuts out the character or the form corresponding to the contour line from the transfer sheet by using a cutting plotter 24. |
