PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively form photograph collections, book cover sheets or the like which are to be formed by a small volume in a wide variety, by shifting a position of a printable region set on a printing paper on the basis of a length in a transfer direction of the paper without changing a size of the region, and printing digital images to a predetermined position of the region. SOLUTION: A printable region 40 to a printing paper 51 is defined so that a head position of the region is separated by a distance d1 from a head position of the paper 51. The region to a paper 52 is set so that a head position of the region is separated by d2 from a head position of the paper 52. The relation d2>d1 is held in this case. A printer driver determines a position of the region 40 in accordance with a type of a command inputted from a computer, and shifts the position of the region 40 based on a length of the papers 51 and 52 in a transfer direction in parallel to the transfer direction of the papers 51 and 52, so that the region 40 can be disposed near a center of the papers 51 and 52. Digital images are printed at a predetermined position in the shifted region 40.
