PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cosmetics and medicines to which powdery additives are admixed that can manifest humectant properties and disinfectant properties. SOLUTION: The objective powdery additive is prepared by pulverizing porous tuff bearing the zeolite crystalline structure and the resultant powdery additive is admixed to cosmetics and medicines. The zeolite here means particularly calcium-substitution type zeolite and mainly comprises silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, calcium oxide and sodium oxide. In addition, this zeolite includes metallic ions, for example, Ca ion, Mg ion, K ion and the like and these metallic ions bring about the antifungal, bactericidal and deodorizing effects.
