PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bearing support method by which the pressing force of a developer carrier to an electrophotographic photoreceptor drum can be made nearly equal at their both-end sides, by providing a bearing member with a means for positioning and fixing a developing blade. SOLUTION: Spacer rollers 60 are fit and arranged at both ends of a developing roller 41, so as to leave a minute space from a photoreceptor drum 20 to have them rotate freely with respect to the roller 41. The roller 41 is rotatably supported by fitting journals 41a and 41b at both ends in bearing holes 61a and 62a of the bearing parts of bearing members 61 and 62. The member 61 on a drive side and the member 62 on a non-drive side have a dowel as a positioning part 63 for the developing blade 42. The blade 42 is positioned, by fitting a hole 42b1 of a blade sheet metal 42b of the blade 42 in a positioning part 63, and it is fixed on the members 61 and 62 by inserting a small screw 64 through the sheet metal 42b and screwing it in the members 61 and 62.
