PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure visual level inspection while a space is saved by installing a placing stand for placing a battery outer case having an opening at one end, an endoscope with wide angle lens for observing the opening and the inside of the outer case, arranged to face the opening, and a CCD camera for outputting an observed image with the endoscope as an image signal. SOLUTION: This battery outer case inspection device has a mounting 4 for placing a battery outer case 1 having an opening 1a at one end, and an endoscope with wide angle lens 5 arranged to face the opening 1a of the battery outer case 1 placed on the block 4, for observing the opening 1a and the inside 1b of the battery outer case 1. A CCD camera 7 receives an observed image of the endoscope with wide angle 5, outputs the observed image as an image signal, and an image processing device 8 with a monitor converts the original image obtained with the CCD camera 7 into a binary and processes, and displays on a monitor 8a.
