Rumen-Stable Pellets Disclosed is a composition adapted for use in coating pellets orally administrable to ruminants which protects the core material in the rumen and releases it in the abomasum comprising a film-forming polymeric material, a hydrophobic material dispersed in said polymeric material, and a physiologically acceptable flake material dispersed in said polymeric material, the flake material having been treated by bringing the particles into rubbing contact with the hydrophobic material so that the surface of the particles of flake material become hydrophobic. |
