PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain angle data of resolver at a low electric consumption at the time of failure in supply of power by applying an magnetization pulse to a resolver part, and comparing a plurality of phases obtained from the resolver part with a comparison level at a comparator, thereby obtaining a digital signal. SOLUTION: A pulse generation circuit 1 outputs a magnetization pulse 1a. The pulse 1a is being applied to a primary coil 3 as a primary side (2a) rotor of a resolver 2. An A phase output 5 and a B phase output 6 output from a pair of secondary coils 4, 4A as stators provided at the secondary side 2b of the resolver 2 are applied to an A phase comparator part 7 and a B phase comparator part 8. An A phase digital signal 7a and a B phase digital signal 8a from each of the comparator part 7 and the B phase comparator 8 are output as resolver angle data 9a via an angle data conversion circuit 9. Accordingly, the service life and reliability at the backup time of battery can be increased sharply.
