The pedal has a lever (2) with an upper pivot bearing (4) and a lower pivot bearing (5), whereby the lever is mounted on the vehicle body (14) at one of the pivot bearings and is connected to an actuator at the other pivot bearing. Either one of the two pivot bearings or both upper and lower pivot bearings independently can be displaced to adjust the pedal setting.
