<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-acting electromagnetic pump which facilitates clearance control and prevents the lowering of performance due to abrasion. SOLUTION: A piston 3 sliding in a cylinder 2 formed in a housing 1 is shaped like a spool having a recessed groove 4 in the peripheral surface of the middle part, and an armature 5 of a half-split structure driven by a solenoid of the housing 1 side is mounted in the recessed groove 4. Thus, pump chambers 11 respectively formed on both end sides of the cylinder 2 are forced to perform pump action, thereby sucking air from an intake hole 13 and delivering the same from a delivery hole 14. In this arrangement, the outside diameter of the armature 5 is made smaller than the outside diameter of the piston 3.</p> |
