PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of freedom on the fitting position of a damper by providing a wire connected to the expanding member of the damper and extended along the moving path of a fitting, and providing a stopper transferring the decelerating force of the damper to the wire. SOLUTION: When a closing action is applied to a sliding door 1, the coupling body 12 of the sliding door 1 is coupled with the stopper 14 of a wire 13 to extend a damper 11, then resistance is applied to the suction air stream to a cylinder 11A by an orifice 11C, and decelerating force is generated and applied to the sliding door 1. When an opening action is applied to the sliding door 1, the damper 11 returns a piston rod 11B to the shrinkage side via the spring force of a return spring 11D, the wire 13 and stopper 14 are reset to a standby position for the next closure, and the spring force of the return spring 11D is set larger than the tensile force of a weight 15. The reduction region applied to the sliding door 1 can be set by the position of the stopper 14 fixed to the wire 13, thus the degree of freedom on the fitting position of the damper 11 can be increased.
