PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved method and device for processing air. SOLUTION: This air-conditioning device has the surface of a fin 16 of an evaporator coil 14 of an indoor heat-exchanger directly coated with a semiconductor photocatalyst material and is irradiated with an ultraviolet ray lamp 21 having a wavelength capable of exciting the material. The semiconductor photocatalyst material oxidizes the surface of the fin 16 and an organic contaminant contained in air passing the fan 16. The desired semiconductor photocatalyst material is titanium dioxide and applied on the stock of the fin 16 before assembly of the coil 14.
