PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make obtainable a high aligning function with a low machining precision to reduce the manufacturing cost for an optical connector. SOLUTION: This connector is an optical fiber connector for connecting both optical fibers 6, 7 by laying a tip part of the one optical fiber 6 and a tip part of the other optical fiber 7 in a groove 2a respectively to be butted. Guide faces 1b, 1d for guiding the tip parts of the optical fibers 6, 7 to be laid in the groove 2a at the time of connecting the both fibers 6, 7 are provided in a pressor member 1, and thereby, a high aligning function can be obtained with a low machining precision.
