PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a component exhibiting high anticancer effect and safety from daily foods and develop a method of efficiently extracting it. SOLUTION: By extracting a seaweed, particularly a brown algae, with an organic solvent, e.g. methanol, ethanol, propanol, acetone or hexane, or the hydrous solvent containing a suitable concentration of water, the substance of inducing cell apoptosis or a mixture between the substance and an immunopotentiator is obtained. |
