The invention relates to a fuel injector valve comprising a fuel inlet at one end on the feed side and an excitable actuating device through which a valve needle can be moved. Said valve also comprises a closing means (28) which is connected to the valve needle (20) and co-operates with a valve seat (27, 27') for opening and closing the valve, a fuel outlet (32) placed downstream from the valve seat (27, 27') at one end on the injection side, and a disc-shaped dampening element (48) placed at one end on the injection side for dampening said valve needle (20). The dampening element (48) is held between a rotation element (47) and a valve seat element (26), whereby the fuel located between the dampening element (48) and the valve seat element (26) is evacuated through a wedge-shaped slit (79) when the valve closes, so that the valve needle (20) is hydraulically dampened.
