PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical member which can easily discriminate various kinds, give discrimination information on a manufacture line, and select and inspect an outward appearance with high precision while a protection member is fitted. SOLUTION: The easy-to-peel protection member 1 which has ink information 13 for discrimination is provided on at least one of the top and reverse surfaces of an optical raw material 2; and the part of the protection member which has the ink information is >=80% light transmissivity and the part which does not have the ink information has >=90% light transmissivity. Consequently, various kinds can easily be discriminated with the ink information, which can be given without staining nor damaging the optical raw material; and the inside of even the ink information given part can be seen through.
