IDLING CONTROL SIGNAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM USING TRAFFIC LIGHT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idling control signal transmission system, using a traffic light, which can automatically stop an engine when a driver waits for a green light and restarts the stopped engine right before the traffic light turns green although the driver is not aware. SOLUTION: Red signal information is sent from a control circuit board 17 of the traffic light to a circuit 19. A control circuit 13 divides red signal turn-on waveform by (n); when the red signal turn-on waveform is longer than a reference time, a stop signal for an idling stop is generated at a 1st division part and a start signal starting the engine is generated at the final division part (right before the traffic light turns green). The vehicle which is stopping with the red signal receives the control signal from a light beacon transmitter 15, the idling state of the engine is automatically stopped, and the engine is restarted.
