PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep an excellent connected state even if a terminal metal fitting is inclined with respect to a fixing hole. SOLUTION: This terminal metal fitting 10 is formed into a cylindrical shape as a whole, and is elastically deformable in the radial direction by forming a slit 15 along an insertion direction into a fixing hole H. The terminal metal fitting 10 is provided with a tapered connecting portion 13 with the reduced diameter toward the tip of the insertion direction into the fixing hole H, in which the maximum outer diameter portion 13L of the tapered connecting portion 13 elastically abuts against a contact C in a linear contact manner in a circumferential direction. Since the tapered connecting portion 13 is gradually reduced in diameter when it is inserted into the fixing hole H, excellent workability can be achieved with small insertion resistance. Even if the terminal metal fitting 10 is inclined with respect to the axis of the fixing hole H, the linear contact in the circumferential direction can be generally kept with respect to the inner circumferential surface of the fixing hole H at the maximum outer diameter portion 13L of the tapered connecting portion 13.
