PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control method and an operation controller, which can prevent an error occurred owing to the mix of noise into basic data when power is supplied and to provide a gas heater provided with the operation controller. SOLUTION: Relating to an operation controller 20, an EEPROM 22 where hexadecimal data on the operation control of a device to be controlled such as a blast fan 10 is installed, hexadecimal data are read from the EEPROM 22 when it receives a power supply signal generated when power is supplied, and the operation of the device to be controlled is controlled based on hexadecimal data. When hexadecimal data which are read from the EEPROM 22 is judged to be right or wrong and the error is judged, hexadecimal data are read again from the EEPROM 22 irrespectively of a power supply signal and hexadecimal data are judged to be right or not.
