<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a photo-detecting sensor, to prevent malfunction thereof and to widen an extent of detecting objects, in the photo-detecting sensor that detects insertion of a sheet-like member to start drawing-in operation with inserting of the sheet-like member into a drawing-in device for sheet-like member such as a sheet feeder type of scanner. SOLUTION: This sensor 1 is provided with a light-emitting element 2 and a light-receiving element 3 that detects light from the light-emitting element 2, and acts as a photo-detecting sensor wherein the light-receiving element 3 makes a specific signal according to status of the detected light. It is provided with a control means comprised of a first control part 6 that controls an emitting direction of the light from the light-emitting element 2 and a second control part 7 that controls an incident direction of the light into the light-receiving element 3.</p> |
