<p>An additive for a toner which comprises a polymer from at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of vinyl toluene, α-methyl styrene and isopropenyl toluene having a ring and ball method softening point of 130 to 170°C, or a copolymer from styrene and at least one monomer selected from the above group having a ring and ball method softening point of 110 to 170°C. The additive for a toner exhibits excellent pulverizability in a pulverization process and can provide a toner for developing a static charge image being free from sticking to production facilities, without adversely affecting basic performance capabilities of a toner such as charging characteristics, fixing performance capabilities and color, and thus can be used for producing, at a low cost, a toner for developing a static charge image capable of providing an image of high quality.</p> |
