The pipe coupling (1) for the reversible connection of at least one pipe (11) has a locking sleeve (4) bonded to the main sleeve (2). It has a threaded structure such as guide grooves (7) or cam projections (8) which mesh with complementary structures at an outer sleeve (9). The outer sleeve (9), with the lock release (10), is in either an axially locked or axially released position so that the meshing threaded structures (7,8) give an axial movement to the locking release unit (10) around the axis of the main sleeve in the insertion direction of the pipe (11).
