PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a print image of a high quality level by preventing a deformation of a plate cylinder reduced in thickness and increased in density of pores without bringing about a problem such as an increase in noise or ink scattering or the like. SOLUTION: A plate cylinder deformation preventing member 10 formed in a roller-like state is provided near a downstream side of the cylinder in its rotating direction at a nip between the cylinder and an ink roller. The member 10 is rotatably provided to be brought into contact with a porous support plate 18 as an inner surface of the cylinder, and has a contact portion 40 brought into contact with the inner surface of the cylinder in an axial direction of the cylinder and a non-contact portion 42 without contact with the inner surface of the cylinder. Since only the portion 40 having a narrow width is brought into contact with the cylinder, unnecessary ink extruding operation out of the cylinder by the member 10 does not almost occur.
