PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of supplying power between a drum unit and a printer body and drum information transmission. SOLUTION: A transmission side magnetic transformer 24 transmits a power supply signal to a drum unit. A reception side magnetic transformer 32 receives a power supply signal oppositely to the transformer 24 when the drum unit is mounted without contact, and supplies power to a drum and ink distinguishing information setting circuit 7. The preset drum information is transmitted from the circuit 7 to a light emitting element 36. A photodetector 25 receives the information oppositely to the element 36 when the drum unit is mounted without contact, and sends it to a control circuit 15. |
