PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the assembling work for fitting a weather strip to a body flange, to make the weather strip lightweight, and to prevent its elonga tion. SOLUTION: A hollow seal section 12 is connected to a central region on one face side of a fitting section 11 via a connection section 16. A cover lip 13 is suspended from an end section on the opening section side of the fitting section 11 to cover the gap between an interior trim member 5 and a flange 4. A double-sided adhesive tape 14 to be stuck to the flange face of the body flange 4 is stuck on the other face side of the fitting section 11, and the adhesive face on the flange face side is protected by a mold releasing tape. A core wire 15 is buried on the connection section side of the hollow seal section 12 of the fitting section 11, and the buried position of the core wire 15 is located at the width direction center of the fitting section 11, i.e., at the bend neutral position when the body flange 4 is bent in the planar direction of the flange face.
