PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent water from entering a motor to improve the safety of a washing machine by mounting a motor bracket on a speed reducing mechanism with its opening down, and arranging the motor constituted in the motor bracket and the speed reducing mechanism on the same axial line. SOLUTION: A spin shaft 22 is supported on the bottom of a water receiving tub by a bearing 21, a washing shaft 24 is supported within the hollow part of the spin shaft 22 by a bearing 23, and a speed reducing mechanism 25 is connected to the lower end of the washing shaft 24. A motor bracket 26 is molded in a cup shape, and mounted on the speed reducing mechanism 25 with its opening down. A stator 27b for imparting a rotating magnetic field to a rotor 27a is pressed into the motor bracket 26 to constitute a motor 27. The speed reducing mechanism 25 and the motor 27 are arranged on the same axial line, and the motor 27 is mounted on the speed reducing mechanism input shaft 28 of the speed reducing mechanism 25. Namely, the speed reducing mechanism input shaft 28 to the speed reducing mechanism 25 is connected to the rotating center in the rotor 27a of the motor 27. |
