PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark-resistant thermoplastic elastomer composition which sufficiently resists sparks generated at metal welding or grinding. SOLUTION: This composition contains 100 pts.wt. polyvinyl chloride resin, 190 to 210 pts.wt. acrylonitrile/ butadiene copolymer, 45 to 65 pts.wt. plasticizer and 5 to 50 pts.wt. filler. Preferably, the polyvinyl chloride resin has a degree of polymerization of 1,500 or larger, and the acrylonitrile/butadiene copolymer is in the form of a powder and is partially crosslinked. This composition is preferably used as a coating material.
