PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of the taste of rice and the cracking of rice caused by the loss of the moisture of rice by suppressing the temp. rise of rice during rice milling, in a rice milling machine wherein the convection of uncleaned rice is generated by rotating stirring blades in the rice milling basket to peel rice bran by providing a fan for blowing air to rice in the rice milling basket. SOLUTION: A rice bran container 3 and a rice milling basket 6 having stirring blades 8 attached thereto are successively set in a rice milling chamber 2 and, after weighed unmilled rice is housed in the rice milling basket 6, a lid body 10 is closed. Rice is convected within the rice milling basket 6 by rotating the stirring blades 8 and grains of rice are rubbed with each other to peel rice bran and the peeled rice bran is blown off to be sent into the rice bran container 3. At the same time, a blow fan 32 is operated and blown air is successively passed through the air blow passage of an air blow guide and the air blow passage in the lid body 10 to be supplied into the rice cleaning basket 6 to cool the convected rice. The air used in the cooling of rice is raised along the cylindrical part of a partition wall because it contains heat to be discharged to the outside from an exhaust port.
