PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature adjusting device for an automatic vending machine to quickly heat and cool commodities when replenishing the commodities. SOLUTION: This temperature adjusting device includes an inside door state sensor 6 which detects that an inside door 5 which opens and closes a chamber 1 of an automatic vending machine is opened and closed, a chamber temperature sensor 4 which detects the inside temperature of the chamber 1 and a storage part 11 which stores plural target temperature adjustment levels. When the door 5 is opened, a quick heating/cooling function is actuated by shifting the target temperature adjustment level to a level higher than (heating mode) or lower than the target temperature adjustment level (cooling mode) adopted when the temperature is adjusted in a normal operation mode of the vending machine. Thus, the temperature of the commodities reaches the original target temperature quickly.
