PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a GPS receiving apparatus which reduces a power consumption and which can measure a position with high accuracy. SOLUTION: In this GPS receiving apparatus, a plurality of signal tracking circuits A1 to AN which track a satellite are provided, a control part 5 which controls the whole is provided, and a position, a movement speed and a movement direction are measured. By the control part 5, the satellite is tracked by the plurality of signal tracking circuits until a positioning position is decided after a power supply is turned on, the position is measured, a plurality of satellites are tracked in a time-sharing manner by one signal tracking circuit selected out of the plurality of signal tracking circuits after the positioning position is decided, the position is measured, and the signal tracking circuits A1 to AN which are not selected are stopped. |
