The invention relates to a sensor assembly for detecting at least one component of a gaseous mixture which flows in a conduit (1), in particular, of a hot exhaust gas in a piston internal combustion engine. Said assembly comprises a support element (3) which is connected to the conduit (1). The support element has an internal chamber which is connected to the conduit (1) via at least one contact opening (5) and which has a sensor element (6) in the internal cavity.
