PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for strictly controlling the moving speed and the moving amount of a grinding wheel, to prevent the occurrence of pitching on a lens chamfering portion, and to keep the width of the chamfering portion constant even when the periphery of the lens is eccentric with reference to rotation axis, by setting the positional relationship of the grinding wheel and the lens constant at the time of processing. SOLUTION: A lens chamfering processing method for chamfering a peripheral edge 1b of a lens 1 comprises steps of rotating grinding wheel 5 and the lens 1 wherein abrasive is held by an elastic material uniting material; abutting the grinding wheel 5 against the peripheral edge 1b of the lens 1 to fix in a state elastically deformed; and processing the peripheral edge 1b of the lens 1 until elastic deformation of the grinding wheel 5 is restored to its original state with fixing the positional relationship of the grinding wheel 5 and the lens 1.
