PURPOSE: A variable suction system is provided to remove air leakage via a throttle valve gap by removing a manifold throttle valve from a straight port for introducing more air into a combustion room in case of a high load, thereby improving the fuel ratio and stability of an engine. CONSTITUTION: A variable suction system includes an upper cap(10) formed vertically movably by an upper end of a hydraulic lash adjust(HLA;7) formed on a straight port valve and formed with an introduction hole(11) for introducing a hydraulic pressure at a side, a return spring(12) for connecting an inner top surface of the upper cap to the top surface of the HLA, a second oil channel(13) penetratingly formed on a cylinder head(1) for passing the hydraulic pressure introduced from an outside by, a hydraulic pressure supply groove(14) longitudinally formed at an end part of the second oil channel for increasing a probability that the hydraulic pressure supplied via the second oil channel is supplied to the introduction hole of the upper cap, a hydraulic pump for generating a predetermined hydraulic pressure, a three-way valve to be varied according to a control signal for selectively connecting the hydraulic pump and the second oil channel to a hydraulic pressure return path, and an electronic control unit for converting the three-way valve to a hydraulic pressure return path to energize the straight port valve in case of a high load, while to a hydraulic pressure return path to de-energize the straight port valve in case of a low load, according to an operation state of the engine.
