PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make suitably selectable the position of an electrode to be used at the time of specifying a muscle and driving the muscle by applying electric stimuli to the muscle and to make it unnecessary to substitute an electrode at the time of using it. SOLUTION: In the electric stimulus device 1 provided with an effector 1a for giving electric stimuli to a muscle, the effector 1a is provided with an electrode part 1ad consisting of an electrode group to be used by coming into contact with the surface of a skin and a shape information acquiring part 1as for acquiring information indicating the shape of the skin surface and a change in the shape. The device 1 is also provided with an electric stimulus generation part 1b for supplying an electric signal consisting of a low frequency electric stimulus or an interference wave electric stimulus to the electrode group and a shape recognition part 1c for recognizing the shape of the skin surface and a control means 1d constructing a data base indicating muscle arrangement in the human body of a subject and capable of selecting an electrode for supplying an electric stimulus signal out of the electrode group on the basis of the muscle arrangement information and the recognized results of a muscle shape and a shape change obtained from the shape recognition part 1c.
