The choke controller has a drive motor (4), a revolution rate reduction mechanism for reducing the drive motor speed and a choke flap (6) connected to the mechanism to control the choke flap opening position by driving the drive motor. The drive motor contains a commutator with several lamella and brushes. The number of lamella and the design of the brushes on the lamella are specified so that even and odd numbers of lamella appear alternately in an equivalent electrical circuit for the wiring between lamella, including the brushes, as the motor turns. Independent claims are also included for a drive motor for an electric choke controller and for an internal combustion engine with an electric choke controller.
