<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a monetary amount printable in sufficient density when the amount is certainly processed by machine regardless of a checkwriter a person by sequentially forming an India ink layer and a concealing layer on the back side where the monetary amount is printed. SOLUTION: A paper for securities, e.g. a check or a promissory note has an amount printing part normally called 'kinza' (sum column) 20 in addition to the name of a financial institution and the like. The sum column 20 as described has an India ink layer formed on the back side of the column 20 by offset printing and at the same time, the surface of the India ink layer is treated by covering the layer with a writable white ink layer. The Indian ink layer is solidly printed using a routine process Indian ink composed mainly of a carbon pigment in such a manner that the PCS value is 0.8 or more. The PCS value is sought by formula PCSP=(RW-RP)/RW (wherein, PCSP is the PCS value of a dot P; RW is a max. degree of reflection within a range intended for measurement; and RP is a degree of reflection at the dot P).</p> |
