PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate mounting restrictions and attain larger air quantity and lower noises in a rectangular brushless fan motor with slit structure. SOLUTION: Mounting flanges 9, 10 are provided on both suction side and discharge side of a rectangular housing 5, and both flange parts 9, 10 are respectively provided with mounting holes 11, 12. An air duct part between both flange parts 9, 10 is provided with slits 14, and tapered shape is provided from the suction port to the air duct part to constitute a brushless fan set to make a duct part inner diameter dimension smaller than the suction port. The fan itself can thereby be mounted to either the air suction port face side or discharge face side. Or a filter, a fan guard, and the like can be mounted to the air suction part face, and the fan itself can be mounted to a mounting chassis at the air discharge face. At the same time, turbulent flow generated at the edge of the suction port can be suppressed.
