PURPOSE: A method for producing a molding attached to a vehicle is provided to improve the external of the molding by covering a color skin layer on a downward slant and to regularly form the curvature radius of an edge line. CONSTITUTION: Two colors of thermoplastic resins are extruded to be a strip having a color skin layer(22) on a base layer(21). The end of the strip forms a downward slant(24). The downward slant is near a heater(11) so radiant heat heats the end of the strip up to a melting point. The heated end is pressurized by an under cap molding die(12) to extensively bond the part of the color skin layer to the downward slant. Thus, a molding attached to a vehicle is produced.
