According to the invention, the process consists in the core-shell type emulsion polymerization of a cored polybutadiene latex comprising 60 ...100% butadiene and 40 ....0 % acrylonitrile and a monomer blend as shell comprising 20 ...30 % ethyl acrylate, 47 ...38 % butyl acrylate, 28 ...22 % styrene, 5 ...10 % methacrylyic or acrylic acid in the presence of 2 ...5 % anionic emulsifying agent, comprising nonylphenole polyethoxylate sulphate and 0.2 ...1 % potassium persulphate or ammonium as initiator, the percentage being expressed by weight and related to the sum-total of shell-monomers.
