the wheel suspension has a forked element (1) with fork arms (1a, 1b) engaging from outside over a wheel and connected together through a cross member. A swing element (2) with two swing arms (2a,2b) is coupled to the forked element. The swing arms are connected together through a connector section (5). The arms extend from a wheel centre over a coupling point spaced from the centre. The swing arms and forked arms are coupled by a coupling device on each side of the wheel which has an elastomer body through which the fork arm is supported on the associated swing arm. The fork element and swing element can be mounted so that the wheel centre is in front of the coupling position in the drive direction and seen vertically is below the coupling position.
