Compounds represented by general formula (1) and salts thereof: wherein R<1> and R<2> are each independently hydrogen, a hydroxyl-protecting group, a phosphate group or -P(R<3>)R<4> [wherein R<3> and R<4> are each independently hydroxyl, amino, C1-C4 alkoxy, or the like]; A is C1-C4 alkylene; and B is a purin-9-yl or 2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyrimidin-1-yl group which may have a substituent selected from among optionally protected hydroxyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, optionally protected mercapto, C1-C4 alkylthio, C1-C4 alkoxy, optionally protected amino, and so on.
